OK, so I’m sitting in my cube at the moment, on a nice sunny Thursday afternoon. It’s day 4 in America, I’m still not fully adjusted to the time (I keep waking up at 4am), so am having some coffee. Of all the Starbucks in all the cities...
Was greeted by a familiar “Jon?!” in Starbucks this morning. It was none other than the Job, the American Engineer in Cambridge, who was a staple of second year life. I was aware he was visiting the UK sometime around next weekend, but to have him one person back in Starbucks!

Tickets Please...
1) Someone will want to see your ticket/you need to put it in the machine to get out. Have it handy. 2) Do not put it in your handbag, it will take you ages to find.

mythtv is almost there!
Well I managed to get my TV output looking like proper TV last night, w00t!

It's Friday!
Well it’s Friday, which is nice.
Bit tired as I was fiddling with my media pc trying to get mythtv/linux to co-operate and give me a widescreen signal on my TV last night.
Managed to get it pretty much working, but still having problems with the aspect ratio/overscan settings to get the DVB to look like regular TV.
I have to say I’ve been tempted several times to give Windows...
